01 / COMPANION DEFAULTNo breeding authority is implied
Unless a puppy-specific written addendum expressly grants breeding rights, the placement is for companionship only and the buyer agrees not to breed the dog.
02 / WRITTEN AUTHORIZATIONFull rights must be explicit
Any breeding authorization must identify the dog and the approved terms in writing before breeding occurs. Verbal conversations do not override the signed agreement.
03 / PROGRAM REVIEWBreeding applicants receive additional screening
We may ask about experience, mentor or veterinarian relationships, housing and whelping plans, emergency care, record keeping, puppy-placement practices, and the goals of the breeding program.
04 / HEALTH TESTINGBreeding requires more than registration papers
Approved breeding homes are expected to use appropriate DNA, veterinary, and breed-relevant structural health information before pairing dogs. Exact requirements are stated in the breeding-rights addendum.
05 / REGISTRATIONRegistry status follows the signed placement terms
A dog may be placed with limited or other registry restrictions when applicable. The final registration status and any requirements for release or change are documented in writing.
06 / BIOLOGYBreeding rights do not guarantee breeding results
No authorization can guarantee fertility, conception, litter size, sex distribution, show results, adult size, or other outcomes controlled by biology.
